I think it is time to revive this and post some new stuff. For now two recent figure drawings from anatomy class. More coming up.

 

Creature Concept

 Colossal creature concept that I for a contest over at deviantart.com. Some areas are a bit rushed and also there were a few other details that I couldn't include due to time restrains, but might end up revisiting later on; for now I'm content with it.

A bit of some random stuff, mostly sketches. Some recent some from previous semester.

Character Design

 Here is an assignment for my digital illustration class. As it can be seen it is a character design. At the beginning be started with a concept, not chosen why us but by the person next to us according to what their likes. Mine was sort of fantasy warrior princess/girl. Once we got the concept we did some silhouettes for it and showed them to the class so that one could be chosen. Once a silhouette was selected then we went a step further and designed different variations of that silhouette which again one was chosen among. At the later stages came a rough sketch and then a more detailed character turnaround with detail shots and accessories design too. I think the most difficult part of this was when doing the turnaround, getting the back view of her to match the right pose but all in all it was an awesome assignment.

Finals

Here are my perspective finals. Two comic book pages and my 3 point perspective drawing that I needed to finish. Few more things coming up in the coming weeks. Now that school is over for the time being I can start getting serious about this.

Getting things in motion

    As my second semester at the Academy of Art is about to end I thought it will be appropiate to start setting the gears in motion of this blog. What better way of doing it than posting some of the work that I have done so far. This series of drawings are mostly from figure drawing classes and they range from 2 minute gesture drawings up to 2 hour long poses. There are also some works from my analysis of form class too. So far all of this is made on charcoal with either newsprint, drawing paper or charcoal paper.
